Florida Adventures: Biscayne National Park

Since one of my traveling goals is to visit all of the National Parks is that I really try to make it to the Parks around me when I travel. That ambition means heading out to a few different places around the South Florida area.

We started off our outdoors adventures yesterday with a trip to Biscayne National Park, the only national park that is comprised mostly of water. We joined a Park guide, some volunteers, locals, and foreign tourists for a canoe trip around the park. We floated through mangrove canals and learned about single-celled mermaid’s wineglass algae.

Adventures continue today with a trip down to the Florida Keys.
